For over 20 years, this former Bostonian has farmed the jungle of Hana, picking the flowers of his labor, and selling them to clients across the United States. Since 1992, Matt and his wife B.J have operated Helani Farm, a mature 30 year old, 50-acre flower farm in East Maui. Covered of countless varieties of heliconias costus' and gingers, dracaena, monstera and foliage plants, palms and fruit trees, sheltered from the wind and nourished by the jungle's rainfall, today this tropical oasis gives forth 2000-3000 exotic flower stems per week.
